US Olympic champ Michael Phelps to present at VMAs
And The Ting Tings are added to awards show bill
US Olympic champion Michael Phelps will be a presenter at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, it was announced today (August 28).
The swimmer, who won a record eight gold medals at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing earlier this month, will join presenters Scarlett Johannson, Miley Cyrus and Lindsay Lohan at the event, which is set to take place September 7 in Los Angeles.
Also added to the bill as performers on the night are The Ting Tings, Katy Perry and Lupe Fiasco. They join a lineup that already includes Kid Rock, Paramore, Rihanna and Pink, as previously reported.
