The Twang play 'secret' London gig The Twang Tickets
Band return to 'Wide Awake' video location
The Twang played a secret London gig before just 200 fans last night (May 2).
The band played their exclusive T-Mobile Street Gig at Bethnal Green Working Men’s Club to an invited audience.
The group, who filmed the video for their debut single 'Wide Awake' in the same venue, took to the stage to the blasphemous strains of Ian Dury And The Blockheads’ 'Plaistow Patricia' – which set the scene for an expletive-peppered evening with the baggy revivalists.
Phil Etheridge treated fans to a veritable comedy routine, complete with complaints about the select size of the crowd, mock onstage rucking with fellow frontman Martin Saunders and a stinging appraisal of guitarist Stu Hartland’s yellow T-shirt, saying, “You look like a lemon fucking sorbet! Play a tune for these fuckers!”
The Twang played:
'The Neighbour'
'Loosely'
'Don't Wait Up'
'T Stain Page'
'Either Way'
'Lost My Smile'
'Ice Cream'
'Reap'
'Push The Ghosts'
'Wide Awake'
'Cloudy'
