The Vaccines have shared 10 rare and unheard tracks on a covermount CD free with this week's issue of NME, which hits newsstands today (May 1).

The CD features previously unheard demos and home recordings from Justin Young and co – scroll down to stream a demo version of 'If You Wanna', which features on the album. Speaking about the tracks in this week's magazine, Justin Young says: "Up to now, songwriting and the initial demo-ing process in our band has been a solitary pursuit. Often these songs start life far from where they end up, but we didn't think it would make as much sense cohesively to include those versions on here. So the demos on this CD are not the first for any of these songs, but they do mark the first time they're played together as a band. They're recorded on my laptop at home, and it's always been a way for us to gain some perspective."

He added: "Often I haven’t written all the lyrics and end up singing whatever comes to mind, and we like to refine the arrangements, but often it all remains in a similar place."
