The Vaccines unveil 'I Wish I Was A Girl' video - watch

The song comes from their Official UK Albums Chart Number One 'Come Of Age'

The Vaccines have unveiled the official video for their song, 'I Wish I Was A Girl'.

Taken from their second album, 2012's 'Come Of Age', the video was directed by Yousef Eldin. Click above to watch the promo, via Noisey.

Meanwhile, The Vaccines frontman Justin Young recently said that the band won't be releasing their third album any time soon. Young explained to XFM that the band have already started writing the follow-up to 2012's 'Come Of Age', but that fans might have to wait a while to hear it. He commented: "We've always written in quite a solitary manner so we've actually already started writing the next record. I kind of feel by admitting that people are going to expect it sooner than perhaps we're ready to put it out."

He added: "We're not set on releasing it any time soon. When we feel like we've made the best record we're capable of making, which is hopefully sooner rather than later, then we'll put it out and we're halfway to doing that really."

The album is also set to have more in common with this summer's 'Melody Calling' EP than their 2011 debut album, 'What Did You Expect from The Vaccines?' and it's 2012 follow-up. "I think that [the new album] certainly won't sound like the first two records," said Young. "I think it will closer stylistically to the 'Melody Calling' EP. I think we feel that was probably a bridge. In a way I kind of hope that 'Melody Calling' served as something to stop people going 'what the fuck?' when we release our next record because I don't think it will sound anything like the first two."

The 'Melody Calling' EP was recorded during the band's US sessions in March 2013 at Eldorado Studios in Burbank, Los Angeles, with producers John Hill (Rihanna, MIA, Santigold) and Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, Arctic Monkeys).
