The Velvet Underground's Moe Tucker confirms it is her in Tea Party news report
Moe Tucker has confirmed that it is her in a news report featuring supporters of US pressure group the Tea Party.

Tucker was contacted by the Huffington Post in response to the story breaking earlier this week (October 4).

The drummer is reported to have confirmed her identity in the video, although she refused to talk about her appearance or her politics in more detail.

Speculation that it was The Velvet Underground member in the clip only surfaced recently, despite the footage featuring a "Maureen Tucker" speaking to a news reporter at a rally in Tifton, Georgia being posted online in the summer.

However, even the station who conducted the interview, WALB, appeared not to make the connection with The Velvet Underground.
