The Verve score Top Five entry on UK singles chart
The band's comeback single 'Love Is Noise' is a big hit

The Verve have scored a UK Top Five hit with their comeback single 'Love Is Noise' tonight (August 10).
The band's first single in ten years is the first track to be taken from the group's new album 'Forth', out on August 25.
Katy Perry tops the chart, her single 'I Kissed A Girl' ousting Kid Rock's 'All Summer Long' from the top after just one week.
The Top Ten is:
1. Katy Perry - 'I Kissed A Girl'
2. Kid Rock -'All Summer Long'
3. Dizzee Rascal ft Calvin Harris - 'Dance Wiv Me'
4. Script - 'The Man Who Can't Be Moved'
5. The Verve - 'Love Is Noise'
6. Jordin Sparks ft Chris Brown - 'No Air'
7. Noah And The Whale - '5 Years Time'
8. Ne-Yo - 'Closer'
9. Rihanna - 'Disturbia'
10. Basshunter - All I Ever Wanted'
In the album chart, ABBA's 'Gold' compilation, originally released in 1992, stays at the top, interest in the band having been reignited by the success of the 'Mamma Mia!' film.
