The View admit they owe everything to Oasis

The View have paid tribute to Oasis, admitting the band are one of their biggest inspirations.

As previously reported the band supported Noel Gallagher at last night’s (March 26) gig in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Asked what it felt like to share a stage with the Oasis guitarist, Peter Reilly said it was “special, really special, because we look up to Oasis so much, who are probably the reason we are in a band, so it’s an absolute privilege”.

Frontman Kyle Falconer explained that his the band interrupted a month-long holiday just so they could support their idol.

“(I told them) i'm not doing anything unless we’re supporting Oasis," he declared.

Reilly also revealed to Virgin Radio that they now plan to “get some decent time off the write the second album”.

Highlights and interviews from the gigs are due to be broadcast on Virgin Radio between 4-8pm on March 7.
