The View to play fundraiser for hometown venue

Dundee's Doghouse is facing permanent closure due to licensing issues

The View are to play a gig to raise money for one of their favourite venues, The Doghouse.

The Dundee venue played host to a number of early gigs by the band and faces permanent closure due to money owed to the city council.

The Doghouse is already closed for the foreseeable future. The View will play the fundraising gig at nearby venue Fat Sam's, on Saturday (May 2).

On April 15, a gig by Pete Doherty at the Doghouse also had to be moved to Fat Sam's due to the closure.

I think the woman who runs this pub has a bloody cheek, organising fundraisers to bail her out because she can't run her business properly!
