The View have announced plans to play a gig for the Forestry Commission Live Music initiative.

Taking place at Delamere Forest in Cheshire on July 4, the show will help raise money to support the nation's woodlands.

Meanwhile, the Dundee group, who are currently working on the follow-up to their 2009 album 'Which Bitch?', recently roadtested a number of tracks from their upcoming third LP, on a four-date tour of the UK.

As previously reported, Doves, Keane and Blondie are all set to play gigs for the Forestry Commision throughout the summer. For more information, visit
