The Walkmen head out on 2008 US tour

The Walkmen have announced a slew of dates, kicking off January 16 in Pittsburgh.

The band will play just over a week of shows in the US, finishing up January 23 in Philadelphia.

Brooklyn-based six-piece White Rabbits will open on the outing, in support of their debut 'Fort Nightly' album.

Meanwhile, The Walkmen have been added to the bill for the Landerado Festival, taking place on the Big Cypress Seminole Indian Reservation in Florida in March.

The dates are:

Pittsburgh, PA Diesel (January 16)
Pontiac, MI The Crofoot (17)
Milwaukee, WI Turner Hall (18)
Madison, WI High Noon (19)
Chicago, IL Schubas (20)
St. Louis, MO Duck Room (21)
Columbus, OH The Basement (22)
Philadelphia, PA Johnny Brenda's (23)
Everglades, FL Langerado Festival (March 6)
