The War On Drugs have announced a string of UK tour dates for this winter.

The Philadelphia quartet are set to play five dates across the country n November, starting off in Liverpool on November 4 and ending in Glasgow on November 8.

Tickets are on sale now and the full list of dates is as follows:
Liverpool, O2 Academy (November 4)
London, Roundhouse (5)
Bristol, O2 Academy (6)
Manchester Ritz (7)
Glasgow, O2 ABC (8)

The band, who previously counted Kurt Vile among their number and released their debut ‘Wagonwheel Blues’ back in 2008, recently released their critically-acclaimed third album ‘Lost In The Dream’ this March.

Praising its epic stylings, NME’s review labeled it “the very best kind of America road-trip record”. “‘Lost In The Dream’ makes you want to hotwire a Mustang and drive it across the States, blazing through the badlands of Nebraska, up through California’s stunning Big Sur and down through Louisiana swampland, picking up hitchhikers and spending evenings camped out near cornfields with only a bottle of whiskey and some well-thumbed Kerouac for company,” wrote NME’s Leonie Cooper. “It’s a record that sensitively elevates such Americana clichés and visions of the great wide open, spinning heartland rock together with sensible psych to create a sound that’s as much a Balearic Bruce Springsteen as it is Don Henley on horseback.“

The War on Drugs are also set to head over to the UK for two shows this May, at London’s KOKO (27) and Manchester Academy (28). They will also be appearing at Latitude Festival (July 17-20) alongside headliners Damon Albarn, The Black Keys and Two Door Cinema Club and Green Man (August 14-17) with Neutral Milk Hotel and Beirut.
