After being feted by the likes of Drew Barrymore and The Stones, maybe that will be next for The White Stripes drummer...

White Stripes' drummer MEG WHITE has been feted by the likes of DREW BARRYMORE and THE ROLLING STONES - but she really wants is a guest slot on 'THE SIMPSONS'.

The star, whose band release their new album 'Elephant' on March 31, admits the band's meteoric rise has seen them meet a lot of famous people, some making more of an impression than others.

She told The Face: "I met Drew Barrymore in New York and she said she liked the band. That was really cool. I grew up on her.

"(When we supported The Stones) we chatted to all of them. Mick (Jagger) and Charlie (Watts) watched us from by the stage, and shook our hands when we came off. Charlie said he enjoyed it. That felt good. You can't ask for more than that as a drummer."

But Meg admits there is one dream she has yet to fulfil.

She admitted: "A guest appearance (on 'The Simpsons') would be amazing. I wouldn't want to be in a Lisa episode. They're kind of boring. Maybe a Homer one would be better."

Meg is currently recovering from a broken wrist. It is thought her injury will have healed in time for he to play on the band's sell-out UK tour, which begins in Wolverhampton on April 7.
