ELEPHANT ATTACKS

Last week's number one 'Make Luv' by Room 5 ft Oliver Cheatham remains at the top of the UK single chart today (April 6) while Detroit duo White Stripes go straight to the top of the album chart with 'Elephant'.

The album, the band's fourth, has thumped all-comers selling over 80,000 in its first week.

On the single chart, only two other acts enter in the top 10 this week, Atomic Kitten with 'Love Doesn't Have To Hurt' at four and Avril Lavigne at seven with 'I'm With You'.

It's a quiet week on down the chart, with Mario entering at 18 with 'Just A Friend', hip hop queen Eve at 20 with 'Satisfaction' and 'Look At Me Now' for Jessy goes in at 29.

US girl rockers The Donnas score a top 40 hit, entering at 38 with 'Take It Off'.

On the album chart, 'Eye Candy' by Mis-Teeq' is the only other new entry on the 10, entering at six. Coldplay, Linkin Park, Avril Lavigne and Norah Jones remain within the 10.
