White Stripes are set to warm up for their CARLING WEEKEND: READING AND LEEDS festival shows with two dates in
Ireland, NME.COM can reveal.

The duo will play two huge outdoor shows in
Dublin’s Marley Park on August 24 and Belfast’s Botanic Gardens on August 25.

The Belfast date is part of the annual Vital
festival and while no announcement has been made of support acts, NME.COM understands Detroit country punks Blanche will appear at both dates.

The dates make up for last summer when the band were forced to cancel their appearance at the Witnness Festival (now Oxegen) due to Jack White’s finger injury.

No other UK dates have been announced.
