The White Stripes make Spanish-language debut
The duo release new single as 'Las Rayas Blancas'
The band will release 'Conquista' under the name Las Rayas Blancas (The White Stripes in Spanish) in the US on February 19.
The new version is a "blistering nouveau flamenco number that climaxes in a violent musical battle between Mexican trumpeter Regulo Aldama and Jack White in his fastest solo on record," according to a statement released by the band.
The single, which will be available on CD and 7-inch vinyl, features a B-side acoustic version of the song performed by a mariachi band. It also contains the Spanish-language version of the 'Conquest' video, directed by Diane Martel.
The single tracklisting is:
1 or A. 'Conquista'
2 or B. 'Conquest' (Versión Acústica De Mariachi)
