The White Stripes' tiny London gig rumours proved false

Jack and Meg White will not be playing in London next month

Rumours that The White Stripes were set to play an intimate gig at London’s Old Blue Last venue on March 3 have proved false.

Some internet news sites had reported that Jack and Meg White were set to play a tiny gig at the venue, but a source close to the venue has since confirmed to NME.COM that the gig will definitely not occur.

The band’s record label, XL, have indeed booked the venue for the night and have confirmed to NME.COM that it will be their act Tapes 'N Tapes playing on March 3, not The White Stripes.
