The White Stripes to release $499 merchandise collection

The White Stripes have announced details of a limited-edition merchandise collection.

Released on December 21, the set features a White Stripes portable record player and LP record box, among other things, plus a copy of 'Merry Christmas From The White Stripes' on a red seven-inch vinyl.

Limited to 333 sets and priced at $499 (£310), a similar Third Man Records collection will also be released. Pre-orders begin on December 1.

As previously reported, Jack White has produced a single by Swedish psychedelic band Dungen, that will be released on January 24.

Meanwhile, Laura Marling has also worked with White to cover Neil Young's 'The Needle And The Damage Done', which is due out on November 15.
