Jack White has revealed he has collaborated with Tom Jones for a one-off release on his Third Man Records label.

The Welsh crooner recorded a version of his 2002 track 'Jezebel' and a cover of Howlin' Wolf's 'Evil' for the release, which is set to be the latest in the label's 'Blue Series'.

The former frontman of The White Stripes told Mojo that Jones "impressed the shit out of everybody" during the sessions at his Nashville studio. No release date has yet been confirmed for the tracks.

The 'Blues Series' has previously featured artists such as Stephen Colbert and Insane Clown Posse, who put out their track 'Leck Mich Im Arsch' as an exclusive seven-inch and download last September.

The unlikely hook-up with the controversial rap duo came about when they apparently crossed paths with White at an airport.

White has also said that Third Man Records will also reissue a number of collections from the blues label Document Records on high quality vinyl, with releases from the likes of Blind Willie McTell and Charley Patton due out early this year.
