The White Stripes are set to give their 2003 LP 'Elephant' a full vinyl re-release later this month.

The LP will be reissued by frontman Jack White's label Third Man Records on August 27, it has been confirmed. The special 10th anniversary edition of the record was put out earlier this year for Record Store Day but, as Rolling Stone reports, the new version will not be a limited-edition release.

A post on Third Man's website revealed that the package would feature two 180-gram LPs and an MP3 download card, as well as a double gatefold and printed inner sleeves. They added: "This album is dedicated to the death of the sweetheart and is still as poignant today as when it was originally released in 2003. We draw a firm line here... you can't consider yourself a White Stripes fan without this record on your record shelf."

Jack White made headlines earlier this month when he allegedly branded The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach a "copycat asshole" in an email he sent to his former wife Karen Elson. The email, which was submitted by Elson as part of her petition for a restraining order, allegedly finds White complaining that she has enrolled their two children, seven-year-old Scarlett and six-year-old Henry, into the same school as Auerbach's daughter, five-year-old Sadie.

The singer has since responded to the restraining order taken out by Elson by launching a counter-motion in court. He described her allegations as "inflammatory... disingenuous, fraudulent and retaliatory and simply designed to malign him in the public record or to gain an upper hand in this litigation".
