PETE TOWNSHEND QUESTIONED BY POLICE

PETE TOWNSHEND was released on bail after being questioned by police in LONDON last night (January 13), after admitting he had looked at child porn websites.

Townshend, who as previously reported had admitted he used a credit card to look at one site and accessed others "purely for research" into a book he is writing, and maintains that he never downloaded material and is not a paedophile, was questioned for an hour and 20 minutes a Twickenham police station. Police had earlier removed computers and documents from his home after a four-hour search, arranged by mutual agreement.

His solicitor, John Cohen said the star had not been charged, and was bailed until late January, when he may be required to answer some questions, according to the BBC.
