Big names for new London festival

Hyde Park is proving a popular summer venue

Big names for new London festival

The Who and Roger Waters are to headline a new festival in London's Hyde Park.

‘Hyde Park Calling’ takes place over the weekend of July 1 and 2, and will feature a number of acts across two stages on both days. So far, it’s confirmed that Roger Waters will be supported by Texas and Starsailor, while Razorlight and Primal Scream will play on the same day as The Who.

Waters, who memorably rejoined Pink Floyd onstage during Live8 at the same venue last summer, will be performing his old band’s legendary 1973 album ‘The Dark Side of the Moon’ as part of his set. It will be his only British performance of the album in 2006.

Tickets are go onsale at 9am on Friday March 10.
