Who star to play London stadium
Roger Daltrey helps Arsenal say farewell to Highbury
The Who's frontman Roger Daltrey is to perform a tribute song to Arsenal's ground Highbury before club play their final game there this Sunday (May 7).
The team are moving to the nearby Emirates Stadium from the beginning of next season, and will have a closing ceremony for Highbury after the match against Wigan Athletic, the final fixture in the ground’s 98-year history.
As well as the song, called ‘Highbury Highs’, Daltrey will also perform a Who 'classic' before the match, reports BBC 6 Music.
The Who are set for a busy summer of touring – including show in London’s Hyde Park on July 2 and a headline slot at Scotland’s T In the Park festival on July 8.
A new album is expected for later this year, the band’s first in 24 years.
