The Who will perform their classic album 'Quadrophenia' in full for charity at Wembley Arena this July

The Wembley show will take place on July 8 and will raise finds for Double O, a charity established by the band in 1976 which gives out funds for causes such as relief of drug and alcohol addiction, domestic violence and sexual abuse. The Wembley date comes in addition to a full UK and Ireland arena tour during which the band will also perform the 1973 LP in full alongside a selection of their other classics, which kicks off in Dublin on June 8 and wraps up in Liverpool on June 30.

The band began a second US leg of their 'Quadrophenia And More' tour in Anaheim, California in January. Directed by Roger Daltrey, the show features a full performance of their 1973 double album 'Quadrophenia' accompanied by "powerful imagery projected on an array of massive screens".

During their UK dates, founding members Daltrey and Pete Townshend will be joined by Zak Starkey (drums), Pino Palladino (bass), Simon Townshend (guitar/backing vocals), John Corey (keyboards), Loren Gold (keyboards/backing vocals) and Frank Simes (musical director, keyboards/backing vocals).

Released in 1973, 'Quadrophenia' was The Who's sixth studio album and second "rock opera" after 1969's 'Tommy'. 'Quadrophenia' was later made into a 1979 film starring Sting, Phil Davis and Toyah Willcox.

The Who will play:

Dublin The O2 (June 8)
Belfast Odyssey (10)
Glasgow SECC (12)
London The O2 (15)
Sheffield Motorpoint Arena (18)
Newcastle Metro Arena (20)
Manchester Arena (23)
