It's as if Murph is against performing at the moment. I went to see The Holloways a few weeks back at the Leadmill, where The Wombats should've supported. I was disappointed to discover the rumour that they weren't playing which was echoing down the queue to the venue was true. Halfway through The Holloway's (who were amazing) set, a security bloke came on stage with a letter from Wombats from the tourbus outside saying Murph's vocal chords had 'gone walkabouts'. THEN Dan and Tord from the band appeared on stage with Alfie and Co, launching themselves into the audience. My Dad who i went with said a guy at the bar had been complaining because the last 2 times the Wombats were scheduled to play the Leadmill they'd pulled out of it. I thought they just didn't like Sheffield.

I'm going to see The Wombats in December at the Leadmill, but the question is, will they do a Winehouse? I truly hope not. I feel sorry for the guys at Cardiff who have to go through what i did. Wombats GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! If he genuinely is ill, get well soon mate, preferably before you play supposedly play Sheffield again.
