The Wombats have lost their battle to topple Adele from the top of the albums chart tonight (May 1).

The Liverpool band's new album 'This Modern Glitch' went in at Number Three, as '21' spent its 13th week at the summit. The Number 2 spot was occupied by '19', the Tottenham soul singer's 2008 debut album.

Elsewhere, Radiohead's 'King Of Limbs' went up 25 places to Number 7, while Jennifer Hudson scored a new entry at Number 20 with 'I Remember Me'.

Other new entries included Steve Earle at Number 28 with 'I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive' and Emmlou Harris' 'Hard Bargain', which went in at Number 30.

In the singles chart, LMFAO's 'Party Rock Anthem' - a collaboration with GoonRock and Lauren Bennett - held onto the Number One spot for a third week.

The track outsold its nearest challenger - Bruno Mars' 'The Lazy Song' - by a margin of more than 40 per cent, according to the Official Charts Company.

Meanwhile, there were new entries for Nero - in at Number 8 with 'Guilt' - and Wynter Gordon, whose new track 'Dirty Talk' debuted at Number 34.
