The xx launch 'audio sculpture' version of debut album in London gallery

Band's collaboration with Saam Farahmand opens to public today (Jan 8)

An "audio sculpture" based on The xx's eponymous debut album opened with a private view in a London gallery last night (January 7).

The installation saw the band collaboration with video director Saam Farahmand to produce a 3D, physical representation of the album in The Vinyl Factory space under record shop Phonica in Soho, using three special videos that represent each band member.

The launch of The xx: A Sculpture Of The Album, was attended by the director and the band's Oliver Sim among others, and is now set to open to the public today (January 8).

The exhibition takes place at The Vinyl Factory from January 8-12, and entry is free. The gallery's opening times (GMT) are:

January 8: 11.30am-8pm
9: 11.30am-7.30pm
10: Midday-6pm
11: 11.30am-7.30pm
12: 11.30am-7.30pm
