A studio version of Shakira's cover of The xx has been made available online after fans pieced the track back together.

The singer surprised crowds at this year's Glastonbury festival by performing a version of 'Islands' during her Pyramid Stage set.

At the time, Shakira told the crowd that the song was "by one of my favourite bands out there".

The bootleg version below has being put together by fans, mixing studio recordings and footage from Glastonbury to cover for a gap in the original version.

Meanwhile the singer's love of alternative British acts continues, having recorded an English language version of her song 'Loca' with Dizzee Rascal. The version features on her new album 'Sale el Sol/The Sun Comes Out', which is released on Monday (October 18).
