The xx to make their live return at Primavera Sound 2012

The London trio join Death Cab For Cutie and Spiritualized on the Spanish festival bill

The xx will make their live comeback next year at Primavera Sound festival in Barcelona, Spain.

The trio will be playing tracks from their forthcoming second album, the follow up to 2009’s self-titled debut. Other newly announced additions to the festival bill include Death Cab For Cutie, Spiritualized, The Dirty Three and Beach House. Explosions In The Sky will play a smaller version of the festival, Optimus Primavera Sound, in Porto, Portugal, but not the Barcelona leg of the festival.

Already announced to play at the festival, which takes place May 30 – June 3, 2012 at Parc Del Forum in Barcelona, are Bjork, Jeff Mangum, Yo La Tengo, Other Lives, Wilco, The Drums, Godflesh, Guided By Voices, Neon Indian, Josh T. Pearson, Death In Vegas, Veronica Falls and Mudhoney.

Optimus Primavera Sound takes place June 7-10, 2012 in Parque Da Cidade, Porto.
