Tickets for The xx's December UK tour onsale today

London trio will showcase their new album 'Coexist' at the end of 2012 with five shows

Tickets for The xx's December UK tour go onsale today (September 21) at 9am (BST).

The trio, who released their much anticipated second album 'Coexist' on September 10, will play five shows at the end of this year in support of the album.

The tour begins at Brighton's Dome on December 6 and ends on December 16 when the band play London's O2 Academy Brixton. The xx will also play shows in Wolverhampton, Bristol and Newcastle as part of the tour.

The band have played a series of European festivals during the summer of 2012, with well-received sets at Bestival and Primavera among their recent achievements.

The xx will play:

Brighton Dome (December 6)
O2 Academy Newcastle (11)
Wolverhampton Civic Hall (12)
Bristol Colston Hall (14)
O2 Academy Brixton (16)
