Glastonbury spin-off festival The Lost Weekend has been cancelled.

The festival, which was organised by the people behind Glastonbury’s Lost Vagueness field, was due to feature The Zutons, the New York Dolls and Julian Cope.

According to a statement on the official sitelostweekend.org the event is now off.

“It is with great regret that we are forced to announce that this event has been cancelled - details of tickets refunds will appear here soon," they explained. "We would like to express our gratitude to everyone who bought tickets.”

Other attractions that were to feature included the Lost Vagueness Ballroom in a 3,000 capacity big top with live music, cocktails and cabaret.

The event was due to take place at the home of the Earl and Countess of Devon, Powderham Castle in Exeter over the weekend of June 23-25.
