Them Crooked Vultures are coming to the aid of a sick friend by putting on a special London show.

The supergroup will play the O2 Academy Brixton on July 5, in addition to their scheduled festival appearances.

The show is being put on in aid of Josh Homme's friend and collaborator Brian O'Connor, best known as the bass player in Eagles Of Death Metal. O'Connor has been diagnosed with cancer and does not have medical insurance.

Net proceeds from the show will be donated to a fund set up to help with his medical bills.

Tickets go on sale at 9am this Friday, June 18. To check the availability of Them Crooked Vultures tickets and get all the latest listings, go to NME.COM/TICKETS now, or call 0871 230 1094.

Those unable to attend, but who would still like to donate can visit Pablove.org and reference 'Brian' in the memo section of Paypal.
