Thrice to release new album 'Major/Minor' in September

Californian rockers go 'underground ‘90s grunge' on new effort - video

Thrice have announced that they will release their new album 'Major/Minor' later this year.

The follow-up to 2009's 'Beggars' will be released on September 19 in the UK through Vagrant Records. The record was recorded at the Red Bull Studios with producer and engineer Dave Schiffman.

In a recent interview with AP magazine, Thrice vocalist/guitarist Dustin Kensrue revealed that the album is: "definitely going to be a little bit bigger and in-your-face than 'Beggars' was. It definitely has some elements of underground ‘90s grunge—like chord turns and some of that dirtiness."

"I’m really proud of the record," adds Kensrue. "I’d probably say that for anything we’ve done, but I guess that’s just because of the approach of the record. We’ve been pushing ourselves really hard, and I like to think we’re probably our own toughest critics."

The band have been updating fans during the recording through a series of video updates from the studio. The most recent of which you can view below.
