Westwood Cancels Tottenham Show

Radio 1 DJ [a]Tim Westwood[/a] pulls out of gig after receiving death threats.

Radio 1's Tim Westwood pulled out of a gig that he was booked to DJ over the weekend after receiving death threats. Westwood, who was due to DJ at The Temple nightclub in Tottenham, decided to abandon the date after, according to a Scotland Yard spokesman, "correspondence of a threatening nature" was recieved at the nightclub and at Tottenham Police Station.

Westwood was shot in his car in South East London last Summer by a gunman on a motorcycle as he was making his way away from a gig. Although no motive has ever been established for the shooting, rumours within the industry were rife that Westwood had fallen foul of rival gangs.
