Tina Turner musical heading for London

A musical based on the life of Tina Turner is reportedly in the works and will make its debut in London’s West End.

‘Simply The Best’ will tell the story of Turner’s life from childhood through her violent marriage to the recently-deceased Ike Turner and her subsequent solo triumph.

According to Playbill.com, songs included in the musical will be
‘Nutbush City Limits’, ‘Private Dancer’ and ‘What's Love Got to Do With It?’ among others. The show will then head to the US for a run on Broadway in New York.

As previously reported, Ike Turner died last week in San Diego.
