A whole host of pop and R’n’B stars have contributed to a version of Massive Attack’s ‘Teardrop’, which is being released to raise money for this year’s Children In Need campaign.

Gary Barlow, Labrinth, Tinchy Stryder, Wretch 32, Chipmunk, Tulisa, Ed Sheeran, Ms Dynamite, Mz Bratt, Rizzle Kicks and Dot Rotten recorded the song and shot the video in London’s Metropolis Studio earlier this week. ‘Teardrop’ will be released by Island Records on November 13.

The song features new lyrics as written by Wretch 32, Gary Go and Mr Dialysis. All proceeds from the single will go to help disadvantaged children in the UK.

Massive Attack - pictured right - have apparently given their blessing for their 1998 single to be used. Since 1997, six Children In Need charity singles have hit the Number One spot in the Official UK Singles Chart, including efforts from Will Young, The Spice Girls, Lou Reed and comedian Peter Kay.

The Children In Need appeal show will be broadcast on BBC1 on November 18. You can watch a video interview with Wretch 32 by scrolling down below.
