TINDERSTICKS IN 'TROUBLE'

Tindersticks have signed to BEGGARS BANQUET and have a single and soundtrack album on the way next year.

The album is the soundtrack they have composed for the new Claire Denis movie 'Trouble Every Day'. Starring Vincent Gallo and Beatrice Dalle, it is to be released next year, and the album will coincide with it hitting cinemas. Having been working on the project since leaving the Island label last year, it is the second time the band have worked with director Denis.

They have also covered the Four Tops song 'What Is A Man' for the theme tune to new BBC TV drama 'The Sins', which started last night on BBC 1. The series stars Pete Postlethwaite and was penned by the writer of 'Common As Muck', William Ivory. Lambchop guitarist and producer Mark Nevers collaborated on the song, and it will be available as a limited edition 7" and CD on November 27, backed by an instrumental version of the track.

The six-piece are about to begin recording their fifth studio album in London, and it is slated for release in the first half of 2001. They perform their last gig of the year at Amsterdam Bellevue for the Crossing Border festival on Friday (November 3). There are plans to tour extensively next year.
