Tinie Tempah has reiterated his desire to work with Adele and insists he wants the collaboration to take place this year.

Rumours of a duet between the rapper and the '21' songstress first surfaced last year, but a potential collaboration between the two was scuppered by Adele's busy schedule.

However, the hip hop star – who is thought to be currently working on the follow-up to his Mercury-nominated debut 'Disc-Overy' – is keen that the pair are finally able to work together in 2012.

He said:

I want to work with Adele this year. We started to talk about it, but because of how crazy things went for her we never really got round to completing that conversation.

The rapper also told Q magazine that he hoped to build upon the success of 'Disc-Overy' this year, adding: "The main goal is to get the new album out and it do really well – better than the last one. And do a world tour."

It was revealed earlier this week that Tinie Tempah is set to launch his own clothing line, but he insisted that he didn't want to turn into a "hip-hop cliché".

Tinie Tempah has been added to the bill for BBC Radio One's Hackney Weekend alongside Florence And The Machine.

He will join the likes of Leona Lewis and Plan B for the free bash, which will take place this summer from June 23–24 at London Hackney Marshes in the run-up to the Olympics.

Tickets for the event, which will have more than double the capacity of the radio station's Big Weekends, will be obtained through a lottery. For more information visit BBC.co.uk/radio1/events/hackneyweekend2012.
