Tinie Tempah: 'I want to collaborate with Arctic Monkeys'

Rapper says he's 'especially' keen to work with the Monkeys after hearing their new album 'AM'

Tinie Tempah: 'I want to collaborate with Arctic Monkeys'
Tinie Tempah has revealed that he wants to work with Arctic Monkeys.

The rapper has scored Top Five hits by recording tracks with dance artists Swedish House Mafia (on 2010's 'Miami 2 Ibiza') and Calvin Harris (last year's 'Drinking From The Bottle') but after being impressed by the Sheffield band's new album 'AM' he is keen to try a different kind of collaboration.

"I don't necessarily have a comfort zone musically," he explained in an interview with Gigwise. "I just feel like when you collaborate with somebody, especially in this day and age where music is so fickle and people always want to hear new things, I think the more and more creative and the more far-fetched you can make your collaboration the better."

Later in the interview, the rapper added: "When it comes to collaborations, there's no boundaries basically. Arctic Monkeys, especially after their last record - I'd love to work with them."

Tinie Tempah is set to release his second album 'Demonstration', which features contributions from Pharrell Williams and Dizzee Rascal, on November 4. He will support the album with an 11-date UK arena tour this December (2013).

Tinie Tempah will play:

Aberdeen AECC (December 2)
Manchester Phones 4u Arena (5)
Leeds First Direct Arena (6)
Nottingham Capital FM Arena (8)
Glasgow Hydro (9)
Newcastle Arena (11)
Liverpool Echo Arena (12)
Cardiff Motorpoint Arena (13)
Bournemouth BIC (15)
Birmingham LG Arena (16)
London 02 Arena (18)
