TOMMY LEE SET FREE

Tommy Lee has been released early from jail in Los Angeles where he was serving six-months after being convicted of spousal abuse against wife Pamela Anderson Lee.

Lee, who was jailed on May 20 this year, was set free late on Friday night (Sept 4) after serving just over half (16 weeks) of the sentence, according to a report today on MTV's US website. In court, Lee had pleaded no-contest to the spousal abuse offence, which occured on February 24 this year at the couple's Malibu, California home. Anderson Lee, the former Baywatch star, has said she is divorcing the errant rocker.

Meanwhile, Lee's Motley Crue colleague Nikki Sixx told fans on the internet that Lee will most likely take a break in the sun before rejoining bandmates gearing up for a tour in support of the band's forthcoming 'Greatest Hits' album (October 27).

Whispers that Motley Crue will be splitting after the tour were denied by Sixx.
