Tommy Lee has been charged with child abuse - and faces divorce proceedings from wife Pamela Lee Anderson - after the alleged assault on Pamela at their Malibu home last Tuesday night.
The Motley Cr|e drummer, 35, was arrested at the scene and has been in custody at the Malibu Sheriff's station since. Bail has been set at $1 million, but as NME.com posted this story, it was understood no-one had come forward to post it.
Police arrived on Tuesday night after a 911 call from the former Baywatch star, and found her with red marks on her back and with a broken and bleeding finger nail.
The child abuse charges are believed to arise from Lee allegedly striking his wife while she was holding their seven-week-old son Dylan Jagger.
Lee is also facing an unlawful possession of a firearm charge. A weapon was found during a police search of their #3.2 million house. The finding contravenes the terms of his probation for an assault on a photographer in Los Angeles in September 1996.
Lee's bail has been set at $(US)1 million. He was due to be arraigned on Saturday, at the Malibu Municipal Courthouse.
