Toni Braxton puts Vegas residency on hold

R'n'B singer Toni Braxton has cancelled her scheduled shows this week in Las Vegas as a result of her hospitalisation for chest pains last week.

The singer, who is famous for her hits 'Un-break My Heart' and 'You're Makin' Me High'/b],was admitted to hospital in [b]Sin City on April 7 after complaining of chest pains.

She is currently in the midst of a two-year residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas, and had a two-week break slated to begin at the end of this week, which should see her return to the stage on May 6.

Braxton previously had health issues with her heart when she was treated for a viral inflammation called pericarditis.

The six-time Grammy-winner famously filed for bankruptcy in 1998.
