Travis keen to work with soundtrack composing-legend

Healy goes all Hollywood...

Travis are eyeing a collaboration with film soundtrack composer Danny Elfman.

Frontman Fran Healy is a huge fan of Elfman, who is responsible for the theme tunes to 'Beetlejuice', 'Batman' and 'The Simpsons' themes, among others.

Healy loves composing “cinematic” music – and believes teaming up with Elfman could be the band’s next step.

“I’d love to work with him,” Fran told the Daily Record, “I think all Travis records are cinematic and feel we’ve got a widescreen sound almost by accident.

“We’d like to give him a song he can embellish.”

The group's new album 'The Boy With No Name' is released on May 7 on Independiente.

Travis also embark on a full UK tour in May, calling at:
