Tulisa arrested on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs

Pop singer and former X Factor judge arrested following tabloid sting

Police have arrested pop singer and former X Factor judge Tulisa on suspicion of supplying Class A drugs.

According to a tweet from BBC News, the former N-Dubz has been arrested following tabloid newspaper reports over the weekend (June 2) that claimed she was involved in an £800 cocaine deal.

An undercover reporter working for The Sun On Sunday recorded what is believed to be Tulisa saying that “half her phone book” had access to drugs and that she would introduce the man to a drug dealer. This introduction was allegedly then made, with the undercover journalist filming himself paying £800 for half an ounce of cocaine.

Police previously confirmed that they were looking at information presented to them by the newspaper. In a statement, the Metropolitan Police said: “We have received information concerning the alleged supply of illegal drugs at a central London location. We are considering the information received.”

However, Tulisa’s former N-Dubz bandmates Dappy and Fazer have reacted to the tabloid exposé on Twitter, with Dappy writing: “These scum simply can’t handle the fact we made something out of nothing!! We’ll be back with a bang.” Fazer, who used to date Tulisa, added: “Just know when there is no news!! Tabloids will make news! That’s all I’m saying on the situation!”
