The BBC have been criticised online for cutting the LGBT references from the Lady Gaga song ‘Born This Way’ in this week’s episode of Let’s Sing & Dance For Comic Relief.
The section starting “No matter gay, straight, or bi/Lesbian, transgendered life” was taken out of the performance by The One Show reporters. Watch in full below:
Viewers of the show have expressed their disappointment with the decision to cut the lines online, with one writing: “Yet again @BBC cuts out the LBGT lyrics from @ladygaga born this way…and us gays still need to pay a TV liscence [sic].”

This is the second time the BBC have come under fire for removing the LGBT references from a performance of ‘Born This Way’. In February, Let It Shine contestants Iron Sun also omitted the lyrics during a rendition of the track in the semi-finals of the competition.
Let’s Sing & Dance For Comic Relief, which is presented by Bake Off stars Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, sees TV personalities perform karaoke numbers for charity.
