‘Be Faithful’ hitmaker Fatman Scoop enters ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house

'People know Fatman Scoop and I want them to know the other Fatman Scoop,' he says before entering

Fatman Scoop has entered the British Celebrity Big Brother house this evening.

The hype man and hip-hop promoter – best known for his 2003 UK Number One hit ‘Be Faithful’ – is one of 13 celebrities competing on the new series of the Channel 5 reality show, which has been given a “UK vs USA” theme.

“People know Fatman Scoop and I want them to know the other Fatman Scoop,” said the artist whose real name is Isaac Freeman III before he entered the house. “Part of the reason that I decided to do this is because when people see me in the street, the first thing they do is start dancing. And there’s no music! So people don’t know the other side and I want people to know the other side.”

“This isn’t about grabbing cash,” he added. “It’s about the reintroduction of Fatman Scoop as a personality, not the guy that you hear yelling all the time. There’s a mum in the middle of England somewhere, you call them ‘mums’ right? Well there’s a mum who doesn’t know Fatman Scoop. OK cool, maybe this is their introduction.”

Fatman Scoop’s fellow housemates on the 16th series of Celebrity Big Brother include Atomic Kitten singer Natasha Hamilton, actor Daniel Baldwin, former porn actress Jenna Jameson, TV presenter Gail Porter and Loose Women panellist Sherrie Hewson. The previous series of Celebrity Big Brother, which aired on Channel 5 earlier this year, was won by Katie Price.
