Big Narstie’s new Channel 4 show is like “Graham Norton on acid”

It's been called "best thing to happen this year"

Big Narstie‘s new Channel 4 show has been detailed.

The Big Narstie Show will air on the channel at 11pm, although a premiere date is not currently known.

According to reports, the show will see the grime star joined by stand-up Mo Gilligan (aka Mo The Comedian) and a range of celebrity guests. The channel have teased it as “best thing to happen this year” and like “Graham Norton on acid”.

Syeda Irtizaali, Channel 4’s commissioning editor of Channel 4, says: “I can safely say the pilot was like nothing else on television – mad, funny, anarchic and utterly distinctive – I am delighted that we now get to spend quality time in the company of the indomitable and brilliant Big Narstie and the ridiculously talented Mo Gilligan. This series is going to be a real treat.”

Executive producer Ben Wicks adds: “Big Narstie – musician, titan of the internet and master-twister of the English language – let loose in his own anarchic late-night Channel 4 show, is the best thing to happen this year.”

“We cannot wait to work with him, and his co-host – 2018’s hottest comedic talent – Mo Gilligan. You’ve never seen anything like it, unless you’ve watched Graham Norton on acid.”

The announcement comes after Narstie proved a huge hit on Channel 4 during his appearance on Celebrity Gogglebox, which saw him sharing a sofa with Ed Sheeran and Example.

He also appeared on 2017’s Big Fat Quiz Of The Year, before making an unexpected foray into weather forecasting on Good Morning Britain earlier this year.
