A man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary but the script has yet to be recovered
A script from the final season of Breaking Bad potentially filled with spoilers has allegedly been stolen from star Bryan Cranston.
The 57-year-old actor reported the theft on March 1, claiming that someone broke into the passenger-side window of his car and snatched a shoulder bag containing an iPad and a Breaking Bad script, ABC reports after obtaining a criminal complaint filed in Bernalillo County, New Mexico.
The Sheriff’s Office in Bernalillo Country – a district of Albuquerque, where Breaking Bad is set and produced – told an ABC affiliate that a man has been arrested on suspicion of burglary, but the script has yet to be recovered and the investigation is ongoing.
According to the criminal complaint, the suspect was apprehended after a confidential informant spotted him bragging about the burglary in a local bar before brandishing the iPad and boasting that “he also had a script from the Breaking Bad series”.
The second half of Breaking Bad‘s fifth and final season is due to air this summer. The show began in 2008 and follows the fortunes of Bryan Cranston’s Walter White, a high school chemistry teacher who begins producing and selling crystal meth after being diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer.
