Caitlyn Jenner sues paparazzi over deadly car crash

The accident took place in February 2015

Caitlyn Jenner is suing paparazzi after alleging they played a part in a fatal accident she was involved in in February 2015.

In court documents, Jenner accuses the photographers of “harassing [her] throughout the day up through the time of the accident”.

According to People, the documents refer to the photographers as “the Stalker Defendants”.

She described the photographers as driving too close to her car, tailgating and driving in a reckless manner so they could obtain photos.

“As a direct consequence and result of this stalking, harassing and distracting conduct, [Jenner] was visually distracted, and the negligence and reckless conduct of the Stalker Defendants did contribute to the cause of an accident where seconds and split seconds mattered,” state the court documents.

Jenner wants the photographers in question to be held partially responsible for any liability she ensues from the crash and that they have to take financial responsibility for any damages and legal proceedings that took place because of the accident.

The crash took place in February 2015 when Jessica Steindorff stopped for unknown reasons in front of a vehicle driven by Kim Howe, causing Howe to brake suddenly.

Jenner was travelling in the car behind Jenner and crashed into the back of her car, causing her to swerve into oncoming traffic. Howe died in the collision.

Jenner settled a separate lawsuit with Steindorff in December 2015, but the latter is still listed in this current case. Jenner accuses her of “sitting stopped in the middle of Pacific Coast Highway looking at her cellphone”, “driving at a speed (zero) unreasonable for the conditions”, and “driving with a suspended license.”
