Emilia Clarke is sick of people focussing on the nudity and sex scenes in ‘Game Of Thrones’

Emilia Clarke has hit out at people who focus on the nudity and sex scenes in ‘Game Of Thrones‘, arguing that it’s a distraction and should be normalised.

The ‘GoT’ and ‘Terminator Genisys’ star, who previously revealed that she refused to use a body double for an episode because she wanted to present an “empowered scene which wasn’t sexual”, was speaking to Harper’s BAZAAR when she argued that sex was just a part of normal life.

“I’m starting to get really annoyed about this stuff now because people say, ‘Oh, yeah, all the porn sites went down when Game of Thrones came back on’,” said Clarke. “I’m like, ‘The Handmaid’s Tale?’ I fucking love that show, and I cried when it ended because I couldn’t handle not seeing it. That is all sex and nudity. There are so many shows centred around this very true fact that people reproduce.

Meanwhile, filming is underway on the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones.

It is expected to hit screens in 2019, after actor Liam Cunningham revealed that filming will continue well into next year.

“We’re filming right up until the summer. When you think about it, up until last season we’d have six months to do ten episodes, so we’re [doing] way more than that for six episodes. So that obviously will translate into longer episodes’, he told TV Guide.
