‘Game Of Thrones’ actor reportedly cast as Marvel’s ‘Iron Fist’

Finn Jones believed to be joining Netflix alongside Jessica Jones and Daredevil

Game of Thrones actor Finn Jones has reportedly signed up to appear as Marvels’ Iron Fist in an upcoming series.

Jones, who plays Ser Loras in the HBO series based on George R.R. Martin’s books, is believed to be the actor taking on the role of Iron Fist (aka Danny Rand). Entertainment Weekly reports that he will also appear alongside fellow Marvel characters Dardevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in a future Defenders miniseries.

The character of Danny Rand endured a family tragedy before training to become a martial arts expert. Luke Cage is his partner in Heroes for Hire, Cage made his Marvel debut in Netflix’s Jessica Jones and will get his own standalone series later this year.

Marvel’s next series on Netflix will be the second season of Daredevil, which begins next month (March).

Co-stars Rosario Dawson, Deborah Ann Woll and Eddie Henson are all reprising their roles from season one, which launched on Netflix in April 2015 and quickly became one of the streaming service’s most popular shows.
